TERESA M. ARROYO is an
Associate Attorney in the Electrical and Mechanical Department of
The Nath Law Group.
Ms. Arroyo focuses her intellectual property practice on all
aspects of patent law, including preparation, prosecution, and
providing legal opinions.
Ms.
Arroyo has extensive experience and knowledge of numerous
electrical, mechanical, and chemical devices and components,
material science, including semiconductors and packages, liquid
crystal displays, printed circuit boards,
lasers and other radiant energy, injection molding, automotive
electronics and parts, vehicle navigation systems, and wireless
communication systems. She also has assisted clients in the areas of
real estate, sports, and entertainment law.
Prior
to joining
The Nath Law Group, Ms. Arroyo worked for a large law
firm as a patent attorney and for a small boutique firm doing
contract work. She spent nine years with the U.S. Patent and
Trademark Office (USPTO), including her last position as a
Supervisory Patent Examiner.
At the USPTO, she evaluated claimed inventions to determine
whether they were patententable, operable, and useful as disclosed.
Ms.
Arroyo received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical
Engineering from Howard University in 1989. She obtained her law
degree from George Mason University in 1998 while working full-time
at the USPTO.
Before
practicing law, Teresa Arroyo served on active duty in the U.S. Army
and was an electrical engineer with various companies in the
Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
Ms.
Arroyo is admitted to the Bar of the State of Maryland and is
registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. |
