Overview

Jiaxiao Zhang is a Patent Agent in the Electrical, Mechanical and Chemical Engineering Department of The Nath Law Group.

Ms. Zhang obtained her B.S. Electrical Engineering degree through studies at the University of Illinois and the University of Minnesota. She has studied Mechanical Engineering, interned in design for a well-known heavy machinery company and in biotechnology lab environments in industry and academia. She has also taken graduate and advanced level courses in the areas of acoustics, biomedical imaging and instrumentation, controls, digital signal processing (DSP), thin films and microsystems fabrication and technologies, and completed other projects related to hydro-electric power, FPGA programming, characterization of piezoelectric materials, and PCB design.

Ms. Zhang is a former USPTO Examiner in the optical disk drive art. She also worked in industry for a well-known biomedical device company as a Supplier Quality and Component Engineer for capacitor active components, a role in which she utilized Lean Six Sigma principles and interacted on a daily basis with in-house manufacturing and key suppliers in Japan, Germany and the U.S.

Ms. Zhang is a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA), the Institute for Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) and the Patent and Trademark Office Society. She speaks Chinese, is proficient with German and is learning Korean and Japanese.

Ms. Zhang is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
