Overview

David B. Waller is a Senior Registered Patent Agent in the Chemical, Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology Department of The Nath Law Group. He is resident in the San Diego area office.

Mr. Waller’s practice focuses primarily on patent preparation and prosecution. His expertise is in the area of biotechnology, including diagnostic, therapeutics and medical devices. He has written and prosecuted utility, design and plant patents encompassing inventions in the areas of: organic chemistry, biochemistry, small molecules, drug delivery methods, assay devices, implantable therapeutic devices, as well as mechanical and electronic devices.

Prior to joining NLG, Mr. Waller had a successful career in private practice, as well as at other prominent law firms. In addition, he served as Director of Intellectual Property and Legal Affairs for Genta, Inc. and was also a research scientist for five years before entering law school.

Mr. Waller earned a J.D. degree from the Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego; a M.S. degree in Physical Biochemistry from the University of Denver; and a B.A. degree in Chemistry from the University of California, San Diego. Mr. Waller is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
