Overview

BRIAN S. SUN is an Associate Patent Attorney in the Chemical, Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology Department of The Nath Law Group. Mr. Sun’s practice areas include the preparation and prosecution of patent applications in the United States, conducting due diligence analyses and providing opinion and litigation support.

Prior to joining The Nath Law Group, Mr. Sun worked in the Office of Technology Transfer at San Diego State University where he conducted patentability and freedom to operate analyses and assisted with developing licensing strategies for university technologies. In addition, Mr. Sun also previously worked in-house at Nitto Denko Technical Corporation where he handled and assisted with all aspects of patent procurement.

Mr. Sun received his J.D. degree from the University of San Diego School of Law in 2008. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Sun received a B.A. degree in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of California at Berkeley in 2005, where he also completed a Minor in English.

Mr. Sun is admitted to practice before the Bar in the State of California and the United States District Court for the Southern District of California, and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He is a member of the San Diego County Bar Association and the San Diego Intellectual Property Law Association.
