Overview

Robert M. Joynes is an Associate Attorney in the Chemical, Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology Department of The Nath Law Group. Mr. Joynes's practice areas include prosecuting and filing of patent applications in the United States, conducting freedom to operate searches, performing due diligence analyses, and negotiating license agreements in the technical areas of vaccines, small molecule technologies and pharmaceutical formulations.

In 2006, Mr. Joynes was awarded a Master of Science degree in Biotechnology from Johns Hopkins University. In 2000, Mr. Joynes received his J.D. degree from the University Of Baltimore School Of Law where he was the Editor-in-Chief of the Intellectual Property Law Journal. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Joynes received a B.S. in Chemistry from Loyola College in Maryland in 1997.

Prior to joining The Nath Law Group, Mr. Joynes worked in the Office of Technology Transfer at the National Institutes of Health as a Technology Licensing Specialist, where he managed a patent docket and out-licensed technologies related to cancer and infectious diseases. In addition, Mr. Joynes was a patent examiner at the United States Patent and Trademark Office prior to his time at the NIH, where he examined mainly pharmaceutical formulation applications.

Mr. Joynes is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and is admitted to practice before the State Bars of Maryland and New Jersey.
