MATTHEW
J. MOFFA
is a Registered Patent Agent in the
Electrical and Mechanical Department of The Nath Law Group.
Mr.
Moffa graduated Magna cum Laude from the University of Rochester with
a B.S. degree in Physics in May of 2002.
At the University of Rochester, Mr. Moffa researched optical methods
of cooling and trapping atoms in gases, presenting his findings at the
National Conference on Undergraduate Research.
He also performed thesis research on characterizing vibrational
motion using digital speckle pattern interferometry, for which he shared the
University’s Harry Fulbright prize for Physics research.
While a student, he received a scholastic grant from Bausch and Lomb
and was awarded a tuition-free year of study in the Cognitive Sciences.
Mr.
Moffa was formerly employed by the Georgetown University Department of
Neuroscience, where he conducted electrophysiology and psychology research
on the neural, biochemical, and genetic origins of individual and group
differences in language and memory. Prior
to his work at Georgetown, Mr. Moffa was employed at the Laboratory for
Laser Energetics, where he performed research in optical characterization of
material samples and helped design new techniques for computer control of
measurement devices.
Mr.
Moffa has taken advanced coursework at Georgetown University in Intellectual
Property, Legal Research and Writing, Legal Ethics and International Law.
Mr.
Moffa was
previously awarded membership in the Physics honors society Sigma Pi Sigma
and the national honor society Phi Beta Kappa.
